At Motorcycle Alert, we're passionate about helping motorcycle riders and drivers access the tools they need to feel safer on the road. Our vision began in 2013 when founder, Joe Zavala, saw a need to deliver a safer riding experience to motorcycle riders, vehicle drivers and emergency service vehicles. Since then, we've been dedicated to creating a user friendly mobile application to provide a safer driving experience, and as of August 2023, we finally launched it. Not only will Motorcycle Alert assist drivers of oncoming motorcycle riders in the area, it will also provide a valuable service to our users.
The Motorcycle Alert mobile application helps drivers in identifying when a motorcycle rider is approaching.
Even if you believe you're a safe driver, Motorcycle Alert will assist you in knowing when a motorcycle rider is approaching within a users customized setting range. Utilizing GPS tracking location as a motorcycle rider, Motorcycle Alert will notify drivers on the road that you and other motorcyclists are in the area with a distinct sound alerting vehicle drivers to be watchful. One of the many features Motorcycle Alert offers, users can customize their account to various ranges of their choosing to be notified of the oncoming motorcycle. Sending a signal from the motorcycle riders mobile phone, a vehicle driver would then receive that signal alerting the driver to be aware of their surroundings as a motorcyclists is within the vehicle drivers desired range.
Our headquarters team has taken significant steps to improve the overall driver and motorcycle rider experience with features such as:
In 2020 there were 5,579 motorcyclists killed in the U.S, which was 14 percent of all traffic fatalities. An estimated 82,528 motorcyclists were injured in 2020, which was a 2% decrease from 83,814 the year prior. Sadly, there were a total of 10,597 motorcycle accidents in California alone.
In 2020 there were 2,741 fatal crashes involving a motorcycle and another type of vehicle. It was reported that 42% or 1,158 of these crashes, involved the other vehicles turning left while the motorcycles were going straight, passing, or overtaking other vehicles.
Wearing a helmet is the single most effective way to protect yourself from a head injury. Use a motorcycle helmet for every ride, and ensure your passengers also use a helmet. Always be on the look-out for motorcyclists. As a reminder, motorcycle’s are smaller in size, so they are often hidden in a vehicle’s blind spot which make them harder to spot.
